"My juice is at low tide."
Unexpected things Roo has labeled "tyoot" (cute):
a worm
a cicada
a spider (well it was itsy bitsy)

Um, cicadas are NOT cute. You must explain that to her. They are, in fact, the opposite of cute. The spider and worm I'll give her, but not that prehistoric flying creepy thing. :)

I read somewhere once that boys and girls are equally fond of bugs and flowers until their gender conditioning kicks in (I forget what age), and girls start saying they like flowers better, and boys start saying they like bugs, even though tests that are supposed to measure unconscious preferences show that boys still like flowers.
Anyway, I was really checking your blog to see how you guys are doing. Hope the pause in posts is because you're finding fun things to explore in your new region. We're well, but busy.
Greetings to the whole gang!
