I did it! And if you've been reading, I apologize!
No, but really, I'm glad I did it. Glad that others, like Gretel, did it, too! And no way do I want to continue at this pace. I hear of some people doing blog 365 and I think, no way, not for me. Here is why.
I am an editor. Many people think editing and writing are about the same, and many people are equally talented in both areas, but I find myself pretty firmly in the editor camp. I love to write, but it is not an effortless task for me. I have to mull and ruminate, which for me usually leads to improvements. For instance, I thought of the G.O.B.B.L.E. punchline on this post the following day. I remembered a few days after the time suck post that I should have included Passive Aggressive Notes. (Thanks to those who shared theirs, by the way!) A bit more time would have allowed me to make my Thanksgiving post a bit less schmaltzy and cliché. Your composition teacher was right: drafts are important!
I hope this exercise will kick me back into more-frequent blogging. The amount that seems right for me is about 2-3 times a week.
HPR had another idea for a daily activity. Hmmm, it is getting pretty cold outside. . . . We'll see. But I probably won't be blogging about it.
I started with Blog365 in 2008, having posted something nearly every day the year before.
Some days I had to dig deep, but I liked ultimately feeling free to just post whatever. I used to take my time and really craft my posts, but since I had to just do it when it came to writing for my grad program, I became much less precious about it.
So I've done it again in 2009 (knock on wood - there's one month to go).

OK, I'm just back from spending another hour on Passive Aggressive Notes. I hadn't been there since September and had to catch up. Serious time suck.

I'm glad you did it, Julie. Since I've been so bad at journaling here, I'm going to try to keep the blogging up, just so I have the record. Of course if I had a partner, no way I'd waste my time blogging ;o)

I like Passive Aggessive Notes! We'll have to take some photos at Mom and Dad's condo and post. (I love that their property mgmt. has custom-made plaques permanently installed around the property!)

Awww, you linked to me!
Also, I keep meaning to come back and tell you about ThereIFixedIt.com - I discovered it after your time sink post, and I like it even better than Awkward Family Photos.
